Spring is right around the corner and that means for a lot of us it's time to get serious about getting back in shape. Over the next few weeks my plan is to break down our main services in detail, so that if you are curious about what it is we do, or if you are looking for something new, hopefully you'll find something that interests you!

This week we are going over our Bootcamp program - more specifically, what the Bootcamp program looks like and how we structure it. Quite simply, our Bootcamp program is designed to be a high-intensity, full body workout that is constantly varied to keep the body guessing and to keeping things exciting.

The workouts themselves are either strength focused, cardio focused, or a mix of both. We believe that a well rounded fitness program needs to incorporate enough strength components to build functional strength - that is enough strength to perform basic functional movements that you'll see in your everyday life. A well rounded program also needs a cardio component to ensure that intensity stays high enough to offer a challenge and high enough to push the body.

When it comes to what we do in the Bootcamp classes, our goal is to keep things as simple as possible while still creating a challenge. That means the movements aren't overly complicated - we don't use any barbells and we don't do anything to crazy. We try to find a balance between hard work, pushing the body, but also fun and exciting. We use a lot of kettlebells, dumbbells, jump ropes, plyo boxes, and a lot of body weight movements.

But the biggest differentiator for our Bootcamp program is the fact that it is go at your own speed. You get to choose the difficulty of your workout. If you are just starting out, keep things light and fun. If you are looking for a challenge, you are able to push yourself harder than any other workout out there. That's the beauty, it's designed that it can work for the majority of people as well as beginners.

The bottom line is that our Bootcamp classes are high intensity but low complexity. The focus is to get your heart rate up and keep it up for the majority of class. We want you to come in and leave without spending too much time but still feeling like you got a fantastic workout. You'll have fun, sweat a lot, and maybe even get nice and sore.

If you are interested in trying our Bootcamp class, just let us know and mentioned you read this article. We'd be more than happy to give you a few free classes!
