Summer is winding down and the fall is quickly approaching. The weather is getting brisk, nights are shorter, and our schedules are clearing up. Fall is the best time to truly Fall for Fitness. Sorry, I had to do it. Couldn’t help myself. Anyways, why is fall such a great time to start a fitness routine? Well, a few reasons come to mind:
1. Summer fun is coming to an end. We tend to have a little more fun during the summer than any other time of year, and that usually means we pack on a few extra pounds. Now it’s time to get back on track!
2. Commitments are winding down. We tend to have a little more free time during the fall because our summer activities are ending. Take advantage of this situation by refocusing your time into starting your fitness routine!
3. Holidays are coming, and quickly! The holidays are just around the corner, and if you are anything like me, this is your favorite time of year. The food is amazing, and I plan on enjoying it. If you dial in your health and wellness now, by the time the holidays are here, you can enjoy all of your favorites, desserts too, guilt free.
4. It’ll keep you energized as winter settles in. This might be the most important part for me - it’s no secret that it gets a little depressing when winter comes. Days are short, sunlight is scarce, and it’s cold. Having a fitness routine will keep you excited and energized through the dark & dreary winter. It will give you something to look forward to and motivated until the Spring comes back around!

Throughout the month of October, our blogs are going to be focusing on our Falling for Fitness series, which will help you to start a health and fitness routine starting from ground zero. We’ll be focusing mainly on nutrition and exercise as those are the main keys to improving your health and wellness. Whatever your path is, our goal is to give you real time, actionable steps that you can implement immediately to start making progress. If you have been meaning to start prioritizing this area of your life, please stay tuned! This blog series will be the launching pad you’ve been needing to get started.
Starting next week with the first blog in the series will be Nutrition for Beginners - the basics, what’s needed for “healthy” meals, and some of my favorite tips & tricks to make cooking super simple. We hope you follow along this month :)
